For example, if someone goes to Google and searches for a divorce lawyer, our client’s ad that will show up in the search results. Some of these ads are simple text ads and others are static images. We refer to this type of advertising as Search Engine Marketing. The great part about these ads are they allow us to customize our strategy so we can have our ads show up in the top 3 listings on the first page of results, sidebar or wherever we desire the ad to appear. We can also set what day, or time of day your ad populates.
SEM also offers opportunities for us to “retarget” a website or landing page visitor.
Have you ever visited a website, and then all of a sudden, their ad seems to follow you around on the internet? That’s called “retargeting.” When someone visits your website, we can design our ads to appear on the network’s partner websites, such as Amazon, so your business or product stays in front of the potential client. Basically we are advertising to them again after they already showed a general interest in our product or service.
Search Engine Marketing is smart marketing and gives our clients the biggest return on their money. SEM may not always apply to a client’s business or be beneficial for their specific product, however when SEM is done right, it can produce big results.
